Thursday (6-18-09) road to Hana!!

We slept in as much as we could and packed up the car to head to Hana! We knew it was going to be a long drive and we didn't want to drive it at night so we wanted to get on the road at least by 2pm...which we did no problem since we left our Condo around 11am! We stopped at Shaka pizza before we headed out. They had some great pizza and Philly cheese steak! Yum ;-) After that we were on our way! The road was CRAZY. I have never been on anything like it before (i'll post a video next)! But it was fun...stressful but fun! We stopped at 2 waterfalls. The first one we took a nice swim in...so pretty! The 2nd one we just took some pictures! Once we got to the hotel we checked in and decided to go to the Ranch for a drink and an appetizer!! While we were there we got to see a down pour..it was crazy. Lasted 5 minutes and was gone!!! Checked out the general store on our way back. Got some chips and dip for a snack later!! Dropped that off at the room, went and checked out the gallery...they had some awesome pictures, but way expensive! Decided to go to the lounge for dinner (only place they have) had a weird salad and Dave got this great steak and potatoes!! Finished dinner and headed back to the room! Had a great first day in Hana!! Also before we went to eat we went to the Spa and made our appointments for Friday! Thank you Aunt Mariclare for the awesome gift certificates! LOVED them! ;-)
