Super FLY & Dave Dog: A glimpse at our last week!!!

Last Sunday (8-23-09) John offered us some great Padres tickets again! They were playing the St. Louis Cardinals and our friends Paul and Kelli are big fans so we all went to another game together! I know it was with the Cardinals, but it was still a really great time. My old boss Ron had the tickets from his work so they were great seats...we were sitting where they actually serve you...we did it once, but that was it cuz they hick up the prices of everything!! Still a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon ;-) Thanks again John, and Ron for the great tickets.
Last Wednesday I went with Dave to the beach to watch him surf and get some sun! It's been so hot here lately that the beach is nicer later...more enjoyable for me at least! Had a great time just hanging out...Love the beach..so relaxing!! ;-) After the beach we stopped and got some Mexican food from senior grubby's....very good!!! and just hung out the rest of the night. We had a pretty sunset that night too!
Thursday we went over to Ryan and Sheri's to have dinner and drinks with friends and Sheri's parents! We had a great time hanging out with everyone...thank you Ryan and Sheri for hosting....everything was great!!!
Friday night we went over by Heather's to hang out with some friends and her Dad was in town! Had another beautiful sunset that night too before we left so we had to get some pictures! Thank you Heather for inviting us we had a great time hanging out!!
Saturday we planned on just hanging out at home since we've been so busy lately! The morning started off great, Dave went surfing and I hung out at home with Cali for a while! We were going to watch the cubs game, but it wasn't on out here so we decided to bike to the farmers market in town! We hadn't been yet so we wanted to at least check it out...right when we got there Sheri called and said they were going to Pizza Port for lunch so since we were already down there we went and met up with them!! Had some beer and talked for a bit...Dave and I wanted to get back to the market so we could get some hummis that we tried that was really good and we invited everyone over for a bit! Paul and Kelli were also in Carlsbad so they came on by too!! Even though it wasn't a relaxing Saturday it was still a lot of fun to hang out with everyone. We played some bags and just relaxed outside trying to stay cool! Thank you everyone for coming by we had a great time!! ;-) Everyone left around 8:30ish and Dave and I hadn't eaten dinner and neither did Brent and Jennifer so we went and got some Chinese food! Yummy ;-) came back, played a game and we were all pretty tired by 10:30pm...the heat kills you!!!
So Sunday we really were going to hang out at home all day and do nothing, but Dave got a call from Heather and Justin and they were taking her Dad over to Trestles Beach to watch Justin surf and this is a spot that Dave really wanted to get to before we moved so we packed up and headed to the beach around 10am or so! You have to park about a mile away on the other side of the highway to get to this beach, but it was worth it! Great beach, and not too many people but LOTS of surfers! They have a pro tournament there every year I guess. I had fun just hanging out with Heather watching them surf!! It was hot, but so refreshing to get in the water!! Stayed there till about 3:30 or so came home to Cali, took showers, and finally relaxed the rest of the night! It was really, really, really hot in our place...has been all week....last night it was 89 in here at one point. It supposed to cool off next week so we will see!
