Cubs game Day 1....

Friday we took the Coaster train to the Cubs/Padres game! We've never taken the train here before and since we are now in North County the drive is at least 40 minutes or so, so we figured we'd try it out! It was a lot of fun going down there. We got to drink on the train and had some awesome views, plus the train was basically empty. Very enjoyable ride. Now the ride back home SUCKED. We had to wait an hour and a half before the train left the station downtown, it was a packed train and there were so many drunk people it got pretty annoying! At least we've tried it and now know!!!
We just got the cheapest tickets we could so we were way up on the 4th deck, but we got a free drink and hotdog with our ticket which saved us some money! While we were waiting to get on to the trolley that drops you off right in front of the park an older guy asked us if we had tickets and we said yes. He said oh too bad, I've got some really good seats. Then he walked away for a sec and came back and was talking with us...asked where we were sitting and said that his daughter got him season tickets and he had 2 extra and gave them to us for free! He was a really sweat, funny guy...perfect grandpa!!! We offered to get him a drink or food, but he wouldn't take anything. We all sat together for the whole game, he was making us laugh all night!! It really made our day for sure....since the cubs ended up losing again ;-( They have a firework show after every Friday game so we stuck around and watched and then heading to the train! All and all it was a great night!

We went and watched B.P. They let you go up close even if you don't have seats there! Still didn't get a signature, but I got a wave from Carlos Marmol and a smile from Fontenot!!
